Healing

I was physically and mentally sick, and conventional knowledge was not providing me with any answers. I started manipulating my body and figured out what was wrong. I wrote down my observations and conclusions, and now I am healthy. I had no prior knowledge of any of the diseases that I write about. Most of the time, I would first figure out the symptoms of the disease, and would then find the name of it. Through desperation, and because conventional knowledge was not providing me with any logical answers, I needed to heal my own body. I observed that our perception of the cause of diseases is wrong. Sooner or later my suggestions will be put to practice and then everything will change. We will enter a new age, and hopefully a disease-free world.

Women Healing/Healing Women

www.ebooks.com/cj.asp?IID=95879821&cjsku=95879821...
'Women Healing/ Healing Women' begins with a search for women who were healers in the Graeco-Roman world of the late Hellenistic and early Roman period. Women healers were honoured in inscriptions and named by medical writers, and were familiar enough to be stereotyped in plays and other writings. What emerges by the first century of the Common Era is a world in which women functioned as healers but where healing becomes a contested site for gender relations. By the time the gospels are written the place of women as healers is effectively erased. The book uses the historical and cultural evidence to re-read the gospel texts and discover healers in a woman pouring out ointment, healed women bearing on their bodies the language describing Jesus, and even in women possessed by demons.

Ultimate Healing

We experience illness on a physical level, but in order to be healed, we must understand where true healing begins: within our hearts and minds. In Ultimate Healing , internationally renowned meditation master Lama Zopa Rinpoche helps us to recognize the root of illness and gives us the tools to create our future happiness. Beginning with stories of people who have recovered from disease through meditation, Rinpoche addresses the central role played by karma and by the mental habit of "labeling" in causing illness, and shows how meditation and other thought techniques for developing compassion and insight can eliminate the ultimate cause of all disease. Ultimate Healing shows us that by transforming our minds, especially through the development of compassion, we can eliminate the ultimate cause of all disease. In addition to relating stories of people who have recovered from disease through meditation, Lama Zopa presents practical healing meditations, including white-light healing, compassion meditation, "taking and giving", and techniques to cure depression.
