ACI Airside Safety Handbook

This handbook is a guide to airside safety. It is written for airside managers and builds on previous work by ACI - namely the Apron Safety Handbook. The remit of this handbook has been widened to include safe operations in airside areas. The third edition of the ACI Airside Safety Handbook (formerly the Apron Safety Handbook) has had minor revisions in 2009. It is now only available as an eBook. A fully revised fourth edition will be available in 2010. The Handbook has been extended to cover all operations on the Airside. The Handbook is based on the policies in the ACI Policy Handbook, with additional material on standard operating procedures and safety management systems distilled from the excellent guidance material available from ICAO, several Civil Aviation Authorities from around the world and various ACI member airports. This handbook is intended as a "hands-on" guide for use both by managers for developing safety procedures, and by staff in conducting daily operations.
