This volume constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Confederated International International Workshop on Enterprise Integration, Interoperability and Networking (EI2N ), Fact Based Modeling ( FBM), Industry Case Studies Program ( ICSP ), and International Workshop on Methods, Evaluation, Tools and Applications for the Creation and Consumption of Structured Data for the e-Society (Meta4eS), held as part of OTM 2018 in October 2018 in Valletta, Malta. As the three main conferences and the associated workshops all share the distributed aspects of modern computing systems, they experience the application pull created by the Internet and by the so-called Semantic Web, in particular developments of Big Data, increased importance of security issues, and the globalization of mobile-based technologies.

Interoperability for Enterprise Software and Applications

https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=nF2St6jwgfUC&...
Within the framework of the Sixth I-ESA International Conference, supported by the INTEROP VLab (International Virtual Laboratory onEnterprise Interoperability, http://www.interop-vlab.eu), threeworkshops and a Doctoral Symposium have been organized in order tostrengthen some key topics related to interoperability forenterprise applications and software. The workshops were selectedto complement the conference topics, leaving more time toresearchers for brainstorming and then coming up, at the end of theworkshops, with new research directions for the future. The goal of the workshop “Standards – a Foundationfor Interoperability” is to increase awareness andunderstanding of interoperability standards as a fundamental need. The workshop “Use of MDI/SOA Concepts in Industry”promotes the application of MDI (Model-Driven Interoperability)combined with SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) and theassociated technology (BPM, Enterprise Modeling, ontology, mediation, model transformation, etc.) in industry. The workshop on“Dynamic Management across Interoperating Enterprises”investigates the need for enhancements to current businessmanagement systems and processes to address the needs of globaltrading across enterprises utilizing the new service-orientedInternet. Finally, the Doctoral Symposium has given the opportunityfor students involved in the preparation of their PhDs in thisemerging area to present and discuss their research issues andideas with senior researchers.

Agent-Based Technologies and Applications for Enterprise Interoperability

https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=jSEHyuLNVC8C&...
The ATOP (Agent-Based Technologies and Applications for Enterprise Interoperability) workshop series focuses on technologies that support interoperability in networked organizations, on successful applications of these technologies, and on lessons learned. So far two ATOP workshops have been held at the AAMAS conferences in Utrecht, The Netherlands, in July 2005, and in Estoril, Portugal, in May 2008. The 13 papers presented here are extended versions of carefully reviewed and selected contributions to the workshops. The topics covered are business interoperability; organizations and virtual institutions; modeling multiagent systems; agent interaction; and security. The main goal was to collect approaches for the application of agent technologies in these areas. Current trends in the development of agent technologies are compared with recent developments in service-oriented and model-driven system design, with respect to their ability to solve interoperability problems.
