In 1737, Englishman William Stephens (1671-1753) sailed to Georgia to serve as colonial secretary to its British Board of Trustees. His lucid reports on the condition of Georgia deeply impressed the board, which eventually appointed him president of the troubled colony. The elderly Stephens adroitly shepherded the fledgling settlement over the following decade through a precarious and tumultuous period. Though Stephens's actions proved critical to the survival of colonial Georgia, historians have largely overlooked his life story. In William Stephens: Georgia's Forgotten Founder, Julie Anne Sweet not only fills that gap, she uses the story of Stephens's life as an opportunity to illuminate vital details in the history of early Georgia.

Stephen's Story

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/stephen-s-story...
Whoever wants to read this story, Stephen's Story, must realize that the distressing sections written within the pages are part of his story. To hide or even "sugar coat" the agonizing effects that Vietnam had on him would be an insult to him, and all of the other soldiers who have lost their battle to PTSD. No one can ever change the past. However, we can learn from our past transgressions and create hope for the future. Stephen and his family had many good times together. He had a wild and comic presence. This book wants to show all of his sides - the little boy, comedian, soldier, student, brother, and son are only a few. No one can explain why Stephen felt guilt or shame after returning home from Vietnam - or why any soldier feels shame, remorse, or guilt when they come home from war. Perhaps this story can be used as an example to educate others as to how PTSD destroys the human soul.

Author William Moreira has spent decades studying and seeking God-sometimes while flying high above the clouds in his Cessna. In that time, he has discovered that God is everywhere. Now, in this new study, he takes issue with Stephen Hawking and other scientists and individuals who argue against God's existence. He seeks to disprove their theories and contemplates ways you can use your brain to discover the true nature of the universe; live in a manner that will lead to a happy place in eternity; and argue against the theories of Hawking and his constituents. While some aspects of the universe will remain a mystery, it's clear that God exists. What's more, it's up to you to find the right path to moral evolution. You must look at the infinity of the illuminated dark matter encrusted within the stars and, in exaltation, accept that there is a super power and that God is everywhere. Join Moreira as he takes on various foolish views about the universe and existence. You can find faith, understanding, and the knowledge needed to live a more fulfilling life with The Big Nest Originated the Big Bang of Stephen Hawking's Black Holes.
